Fido users (M5x, S5x, SL5x): How to get a clear op logo during network integration

As most Fido users know, the network integration with Rogers is causing the phone to "roam" on the new integrated network 302-720. Thus, clear op logos are now overridden until Fido issues an OTA update for our SIMs to interpret 302-720 as the home network. Having a good chunk of the screen real estate taken up by the Fido/www.fido.ca banners is especially aggravating to some. I found a work-around for this until the day when the OTA update will come.

Download the Siemens S55 colour scheme editor (Google it!) and make a colour scheme for yourself. Make sure you select the "Don't show provider name" option before saving the colour scheme. Then transfer the scheme into your phone and use it. Selecting this option will turn off the op logo as well as the time and date and will allow you to display your wallpaper in all its glory. The only downside is of course not being able to see the date and time on the main screen, and the only way around it would just be to enable your analog clock screensaver and perhaps have it kick in a bit earlier.

I don't know if this would make a difference to anyone, but I thought it would be good to share with you all.
