vx 8100 using files in "my Sounds" as ringtones??

Is it possible to use the files in the "My Sounds" folder under "Get Tunes and Tones" as ringtones? I sent a .mid file and want to use it as a ringtone, but when I saved it the phone automatically put it into that "My Sounds" place. (Which had 5 really stupid sounds in there as a default, including a train sound?) what can you use these for if not ringtones? What am I missing??

Thanks for any assistance, you are all great and I've learned a lot so far about my new phone!

You have to put them in the brew/lk/mr folder using Bitpim and a usb or bluetooth connection. I can't get anything in the ms(my sounds) folder to be used as a ringer. This thread covers it all:
