Tried searching... How do I make it so I can make mp3 files ringtones on my Treo 650?

I saw a post saying it was possible to use MP3 files as ringtones (I think the stock Treo only allows for a certain small filesize ringtone). It said you could find out how by doing a simple search, but I tried searching.

Can someone tell me quickly what I need to do in order to turn the MP3 files on my SD card into ringtones?

Thanks a bunch.

The Treo will not play Mp3 files as ringtones without the use of a third party application.

There are several to choose from. Lightwav, mring, Ringo, Phone Technician, just to name a few.

I am using ringo (registered version) and it still resets my treo sometimes when I get a call. I have not figured why yet, but when it works it works well.

I use iTunes to convert any mp3s I want to use for ringtones into WAV files, and then use the Nokia Multimedia tool to covert them to AMR.
