Have your friend who is on Rogers call customer service and have them open up a translation trouble ticket. Rogers has to update their tables with Bell's new exchange. If they get a competent operator the issue should be fixed by thier network department within 24 hours. The cause is when new exchanges are launched all of the phone companys are supposed to load them into their swithces however sometimes it gets overlooked....must be corrected by telco that is blocking the call.

Probably a new exchange that Rogers has not updated in their switches yet. (common problem).

Call Rogers and report the problem. Do NOT let them talk to you into thinking its a problem with Bell mobility, like you said it works with BM, Bell Canada and Telus, so problem is with Rogers.

This is a common problem with Rogers. It's happened to me a few times back when I had a Rogers phone....

don't make it sounds like it only happens on rogers, I've seen it happen numerous time when rogers gets a new exchange and bell or telus can't reach it, bell landlines can, but mobility can't.

or telus gets a new exchange, and bell can't reach it.

it happens, quit making it seem like this is some HUGE rogers only issue...

I'm sure it happens with all providers--but in my experience, it seems to be common with Rogers.

It is very common with Rogers... Rogers requires two additional steps to add an exchange to their database. They often miss the deploy date or wait to submit until the very last minute. It began to happen with Fido subs too when Rogers took over their switches.

in the numerous years of selling bell mobility services, i haven't really heard of it happening with bell mobility...since these areas are all bell serviced areas, the new exchanges are loaded into bell switching systems almost seemlessly...since telus roams on bell in many areas, i rarely hear about it with telus...i haven't heard too many complaints about rogers, but i have heard many complaints about small independant local phone carriers...i have heard at times it has taken them weeks to load new exchanges into their systems.

I hada similar thing happen with Bell Mobility and Bell Canada.
it was about 5 years ago, when local calling areas got bigger so everyone could have access to the internet usually with local access numbers in larger cities..

well, Woodstock exchanges became local to London exchanges and vise-versa.. I had a woodstock cell phone, my friends in london could call my woodstock house phone, but could not call my woodstock cell phone exchange (535) I spent a day on the phone with both Bell's and they both balmed the other one, finally after a week of them fighting, i had bell mobility switch me to a London exchange so iwas local to everywhere anyways, and that was better, cuz it made me local to even more ppl.. lol.. bell mobility waived the $25 charge at that time.. even before the expansion, it was always local to call London from a cell phone connected to a woodstock tower.
