Sanyo 5300 ringer... HELP!

I can't put my ringer volume to 'High' because if I do, my phone sounds like a blown speaker. I have to delete most of the ringers because they rattle, some of them badly. And no, my volume setting is NOT at 'High + Vibrate'

Is it normal?

I've also noticed that the schedule alarm is pretty quiet. Is there a way to change the alert tone on the schedular alarm?

hmmmmmmmm
strange... I just tried mine with the standard ringer and I don't have that problem. I have the slim battery on and I tried it with HIGH and then I tried it again with HIGH/VIBRATE and it doesn't rattle or sound bad at all... just sounds very loud.

I selected different ringers and tried it again and it still doesn't sound like a blown speaker... its not distorted at all. Just sounds loud and clear.

It doesn't sound like it all the time. Sometimes on Med/High. But, almost never fails when it's on high. It doesn't rattle exactly like on vibrate. But I can feel it vibrate. Maybe I'm being too critical. I don't know.

So, your upgrade does well, eh? My software is 1.032. I'm a little afraid to get the upgrades, as I've read about too many 'frys'.

I think what's happening is that your ringers have their MIDI controller volume set to the highest value (127) and it produces a tinny sound and resonates on the phone's housing. So it's not really the speaker, but the plastic that's resonating. Sounds kinda cool to me...
