Using phone while charging?

Is there anyway to use the phone while it's being recharged?
I just ran the battery all the way down and now while it's plugged into AC, I can't use it...

Some chargers let you use the phone while charging while others don't. It should say in teh instructions or on the package if you can or not.

CS always tells me never to use my phone while it is charging... whats up with that? I do anyways and have never had any problems.
