According to engadget the FCC just approved the 9300i. It looks like it has everything the original has plus a better battery (1100MAH Li-Ion) and wi-fi.

I hope they bring out a 9500i

I doubt we'll see an update on the 9500 thus the reason for the 9300i its smaller nd does everything the 9500 does. Its seems the color is diff too.

Around Feb/March this year some networks were playing with a 3G 9500 so even though the 9300i has WiFi I think the 9500 will be the first 3G Communicator. Also there is a rumour that it will have a touch screen. The i-Mate Jasjar and the XDA Exec. have created a lot of interest in Communicators so I think Nokia would take advantage of this.

How about just finally releasing regular 9300 in US?

If plain 9300 even now is not available in US. When do you think 9300i will be available?

This 9300i isn't even tri-band with 850Mhz... so the fact it took 1 year for the 850/1800/1900 9300 to hit the US I doubt you'll see the 9300i any time soon.

I looked at the internal pictures on the FCC website and I still see a TI OMAP sitting on the board. These devices are still pretty MHz limited so lets hope they have a new pre-production version from TI that is substantially faster.
