Unable to Hear Ringing when Handsfree Plugged In

I'm using Phone Technician (also tried Treo Guard) and I'm unable to hear my phone ring with my handsfree plugged in. I know that I can set it so that the handsfree answers the phone automatically when my handsfree is plugged in. Yet, is there an option that I can set or an application that I can get, so that I can hear my phone ring when my hands free is plugged in without having it answer automatically.
