my lgc2000 wont play my mp3 ring when someone calls it reverts to the stupid birdchirp ind i dont know why no matter what ring tone i pick it reverts to the birdchirp is my phone jacked

hey i am trying to put and mp3 onto the lg vx 5200 i have read that you can change the name to a mid. i am using goldwave and there is not conversion type to save it as a mid can anyone help
