How is the mp3 playback sound quality on a Qtek9090 with the standard headphones?

Well, I try to rephrase the question. I want to buy a Qtek9090=IMate Pda2k=TMobile MDA III=O2 XDA IIs and use it also for listening mp3s. What's the quality of the output? Can I use an adaptor 2.5mm->3.5mm for the headphones?
