Is it even possible to change the font size on this asian rom version? i tried changing the font using omega's blog but that made it even worse. Then i tried keeping the nina font and installing the facade homescreen to get the new layout and THAT was too small.

I just want my homescreen to look like this

And yes i've tried searching... but for some reason whenever i search general things like "mpx220 font" or "smartphone homescreen" the results tend to look like the library stacks of hell. A very dark, mysterious and confusing place where i find myself skimming useless posts and pointless questions for hours. Please dont tell me to go back there

That is the nina font that I am using in that particular screen shot. However now I am using segone which is the font for WM5.

As for Facade, you have to modify the XML for it to get the size that you see on the screen shot in Facade. Go to www.sbsh.net and go to the Facade section, you will find how to make all kinds of modifications there.

How did you adjust the height of the font/s? I have managed to changed the thin Asian font to Ninab.ttf but the height still remains the same ,smaller than the standard height of the 1.47 font.

..and on that screenshot above, i think it was the thin.ttf font not the nina right?

No, its nina. Nina on the Asian ROM looks different from what it would on the European and Generic ROM's. Don't ask me why....but I am sure the font needs to be thin like that because of the charecteristics of the chineese language. On the other hand, if you have a non Asian ROM and you want the thin font, someone make it and called it thin.ttf. But its still called nina on the Asian ROM's. There is no way to increse the dpi of the font......well not that I know of. However, if you want the font bigger on the homescreen you can edit the homescreen xml file to show a bigger font like on Windows Simple layout. The only way to totally change the font from the Asian Nina font is to install a different font like Tahoma or Segone.

Yeah, i love Tahoma on the Asian ROM. I cant make the segoe font on my asian rom look great because of the poor cleartype quality of MPX220 although i have adjusted the quality through HKLM-System-GDI-Cleartype-Quality and adjusing the Gamma Tweak.

Btw, is really the cleartype for MPX220 sucks? I dont like it. or its just my LCD?

I have cleartype on and I think it looks fine, especially with the segone font. However, it would look better if the fonts were bigger, but yes it is the screen that gives it its "fuzzy" look......It looks much better on a VGA or a QVGA screen.

Compared to my Voyager before..the cleartype effect of the MPX 220 to the Voyager is a loser...
