Windows Media Playlists

Does anyone know how to get playlist to sync onto a windows media player enabled smartphone? I have the SMT 5600 and can easily sync songs on it with my computer but when I try to drop a whole play list onto the phone, the playlist doesn't get saved on the phone - only the songs. Is there a setting I need to change on my desktop pc?
