VX8100 bitpit ringtone help!!

I got BitPim to transfer files over, the file even shows up in the phone after I reboot. The problem is that the song wont play! It's either a one second clip of nothing or one or two seconds of the song and then it stops. I have tried several formats and several songs with the same result each time. Does anyone know why this is? I am using BitPim .7.37, Mac OS 10.4, connection via Bluetooth.

make sure your song files are mp3. Kinda sounds like you might have put them into the wrong folder but still created a datfile which made them show up on the list.

My songs are in mp3 format and I am putting them in the folder that I've learned to from this forum. I mean, it can't be the wrong folder because a few times I've actually gotten a few seconds of the song to play. So something must be going wrong with the transfew, but I can't figure out what or why...

I downlaoded a full copy of HollaBack Girl as a ringtone in mp3 format if you want to here the complete song if your doing a playback of your ringtone do not push any buttons or turn up the vol. on the phone it will then turn the ringtone off and you must replay it

That's not the problem... it seems to me like it's not transferring the file over all the way.... I'm not really sure what's going on so if someone who's done it before could help me out I'd really appreciate...
