I have asked if the Windows mobile devices can surf on 4.99 tzones with T=-Mobile ...but can the Treo 650 be able to surf with the low end $4.99 tzones data plan?

I just got an Unlocked Cingular Branded Treo 650. I have the 5.99 TMobileWeb TZone and the internet does not work with the Blazer Web Browser. The TZone works with the email though.

Can anybody help?

Try going into the settings for Blazer and adding a proxy. The TMO proxy is 216.155.165.050 and the port is 8080. It works in some areas but not all. I have it working where I am and I can view full html pages.

It is not a crime when you are paying for the cost of tzones. Yes it's cheaper than the 19.99 plan that T-Mobile claims you need to have but if you also switch phones that only can have tzones (which I do from time to time) then you are not cheating the system.

Wirelessly posted (SE610+iPaq 4150: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; PalmSource/hspr-H102; Blazer/4.0) 16;320x320)

The $4.99 t-zones plan works perfectly (with proxy) in NYC.

When you put your T-Mo SIM, it automatically shows 3 connections (t-zones, VPN and T-Mobile internet) in Network prefs.

Warning!!!

Those settings are not editable and if you select t-zones in Network Prefs, it may switch to T-Mobile Internet if t-zones is not avaible. This happened to me once and got charged by kb for awhile before I realized it.

I suggested you create a new connection similar to t-zones and make it your default.

The difference is that in the "details" tab, choose "None" as Fallback.
If you are a Cingular customer, you should be able to request the unlock code. If not, there are plenty of websites that can do that.
