Ok i used this program so i could put ringtones on my phone.
ok well i used the walkthrough from the site and it seemed to work but the ringtones dont play...
anyone have any ideas?
i dont have a sd card for my phone either but the walkthrough i used said without the card so that coulsnt be the problem....

-one question though, assuming you have BitPim, did you delete the "my_ringtone.dat" and "my_ringtonesize.dat" files within the "dload" folder of the phone's filesystem after adding the ringtones, and then restart your phone?

Yea I did delete the "My_ringtone.dat" and "my_ringtonesize.dat" and all that did was delete the songs off my phone, and i did search and i didnt find anything, that helped....

you used BitPim, put the mp3s into the "brew/16452/lk/mr" folder? then you deleted those 2 dat files, rebooted your phone and it doesn't work? is that what you're saying here?

Ok i did that too and it just deleted the songs
i think its the file, after the song name it says ink.
"songname.ink"
is this the problem?

All the files that I used are mp3 files....what the hell is an .ink file?

I'm guessing that's where your problem lies...try putting mp3 files into that place and see if they get recognized as ringers.

I tried overwriting them with the mp3 file but it remained .ink

but i overwrote the file under the /ring sub, and it stayed .ink but they are working now... thanks for your help anyways
