What is the base pay of a Cingular Direct Employee? Avg? How much do they make I currently work for an indirect dealer but considering to work for direct but I dunno if the pay is better or same.

At&t $50-$60k

cingular $35-$40k

This is about average for northern CA.

depends on where you live...for example, a rep in cali is gonna make more than a rep in the middle of kansas.

I own my stores, so from Cingular pays me per new activation with a min of 20 new lines per location feb-May, June-aug the goals can go as high as 50 new lines, sept-oct 40, Nov-January 80 new lines. I do not see this money 30 days out. I do get chargebacks and I have to buy my phones too.

I get paid per line above $39.99 -$54.99 get $245.00
higher on plans above $59.99 and up get $300.00
$5.00 sold off kick prepaid
Go Phone $5.00 each new set up
family plans 1st two lines I get $300.00 with each other line paid at $50.00
data plans only pay the same as $245.00

$35.00 per line from migrations from blue to the orange.
I can not do business 2 business sales
I can not sell anyother GSM services as long as I have an agreement with Cingular.
I am subject to cingular secert shops and on site checks without notice.

The risk is well worth the work if you ask me, now AT&T paid me better but Cingular is where I put my future with my business.

but remember, that KS rep has a lower cost of living than one in CA...

and you're closer to the organic foods so you pay less for that, you're dodging duelies and tractors instead of H2s and Lohans, and since in KS there are fewer distractions (no movie premieres, no roller-skating beach bunnies, no earthquakes, etc.), you have more time to focus on your sales which is gonna pump up your paycheck!

(everyoney needs to quit asking about salaries!!

It also depends on the store. I used to work for a store where I was making around the 35K to 45K range. I left the company for a few months and then got myself rehired back on. Now I work for a store which is only 8 minutes or so away and I'll make somewhere between 25K and 30K. Cingular has taken us (Blue Reps) from being the best paid employees to the worst. My first 6 months with AT&T I made 33K. I'll be lucky to make that now in a year with Cingular. I think their goal is to get rid of all the knowledgeable employee's and replace them with kids fresh out of high school looking to make just a little more than minimum wage and get that bonus check at the end of the month.

Or less time to focus on sales because you are pissed that you are stuck in KS and not at a movie premier or watching roller skating beach bunnies....
