Has anyone used the Ringtone Creator Pro program?

I was looking for a ringtone maker for my T720 (I'm just getting into modding) and I came across this program and I wanted to get some opinions on it.

Is there other software you would recommend for this particular phone?
Thanks!

I use EaseAudioConverter. Seem to work well.

I use a program called GOLDWAVE (http://www.goldwave.com). It is a freebie. You can download the CODEC for making mp3's. I cut up my favorite songs and edit them in Goldwave. Then I conect to my phone via MPT and transfer them to my phone. THis is of course after you SEEM edit your phone (if it isn't already done...I have the e815). I have about 20 custom ringtones.

I use audacity to cut up and put songs together and then I convert the wav file to mp3 using razor lame. I use ninetoez's guide on how to make ringtones, it's the greatest for novice's. Here's the link: http://www.ninetoez.com/moto/maketones.html

Thanks.. but mostly these are for mp3 ringtones. Unfortunately my T720 uses .mid files. So far, I've not found a good way of taking an .mp3 file and converting it into a decent ringtone.

Jontar,

I don't know if you know this, but after you make your MP3 ringtone it will be called "< SONG >.MP3". All you have to do is rename the mp3 extension to MID. (i.e crazy_train.mp3 would be renamed to crazy_train.mid). YES.....it is that simple.

I learned from using this site (see link) when I had my LGVx3200
http://www.geocities.com/vx3200_setup/mp3_edit.html

Hope this helps.

Doesn't work on a T720

The Moto T720/T730 from Verizon supports General Midi, iMelody and Yamaha SMAF files as ring tones...

It does not support MP3, nor does it support MP3's renamed to .MID.

If you want "real voice" sounding ring tones (similar to what MP3 gives you), then you are stuck with Yamaha SMAF (.MMF) files which do not sound as good, but they work... (Yamaha has a free converter available for DL)

Also, there are tricks to get them to your phone since you can't email... You can use BitPim to REPLACE existing ring tones, but if you want to ADD ring tones, you need to use PST and EMS MANAGER.

For more info see my OLD OLD OLD T720/T730 info page...

Thank you Mark.. some good info here. While I do have a GSM phone.. there is still some great things for me to read. I made a custom .gif.. but my phone says that it is an invalid .gif file and it can't read the ammount of frames, etc.

Ah.. a GSM T720?? that doesn't support Yamaha SMAF's. Sorry.. No "voice style" ring tones for that phone...

For any of the pictures on my pages, they worked on my Verizon Moto T730, and a friends AT&T Moto T720.

Not sure what might be causing the GIF problem you are running into.
