Can you think of anything worse than trying to explain to a 69 year old how to download a ringtone online.
I had to explain to her how to maximize a Window.

Where do I start?

Well a few months ago I showed an 84 yr old man who was worrying about what happens if he passes away within 2 years how to use his brand new V3 and HS850. lol.. I explained the basic functions on the phone probably 4-5 times cause he kept forgetting..

that's hilarious. i love old people.

I swear cell phones and old people go together about as good as diesel and cow crap.

an 84 year old man bought a V3 with a HS850?

That's the craziest thing I've ever heard!!!

This is why I'm afraid of growing old....not because of the aches and pains....but because your mind stops working like it should.

I have a few old people that like to get the newest stuff, cause they wanna still feel like they are with the times. It's actually kinda reassuring, I like them. But then there are the OTHER old people. Like the guy who exchanged a RAZR for a 6010 yesterday, cause he liked the buttons better. Lol.

What almost bothers me as much as that is when they don't give the area code.

Keep in mind Maryland is a 10 digit dialing state -- you HAVE to dial the area code, due to overlapping area codes. As a state we have *4* area codes...and at least 7 as a market.

But they don't feel the need to tell us their area code.

My personal favorite is explaining to an ATT customer that they are still ATT not Cingular and hearing, "Well, my bill says Cingular!" Priceless. Oh and explaining to people why they have to pay a little bit more to upgrade.

Actually, my head starts hurting when I hear " Well I've been a customer for x amount of years..."

Yeah... These are probably the first people to complain about Cingular not having free incoming calls.

I especially like people that have problems with there phone, dont know the number, and dont have the phone with em. WTF am i supposed to do for you then.

Lol. I had a guy yesterday bring in a LG C2000 (which surprisingly has been a good phone, no returns other than for personal preference, I gotta admit, good job LG) and said he tried to take a picture earlier, and a purple line appeared along the top of the screen. Wasn't there at the moment. Well, then close your phone and don't worry about it. Geez.

when it compes to older people i either sell on the nokia 6010 or the samsung X497 they have big numbers and are easy to use..... i once had a customer he could have been around 80 and he wanted a treo 650 i cant even figure that phone out most of the time LOL can you imagine explaining to him how to set up his email
thought im suprised to see how older people react to the razr usually they love it and when they see the bluetooth headsets they feel like they are in startrek. they always say now they will be able to take pictures of their grandkids and set them up as walpapers cool huh
