So I am looking at moving from my P800 to a Blackberry. I don't do a ton of emailing by today's standards but I am on the road alot and need the ability to check email to get back to customers. Any recommendations on how the Sure Type technology compares to the qwerty keyboard? Any other opinions/reviews on these two devices? Should I just wait for the 8700?!?!
Thanks,
Galen.

I'd go with a 7100 series. I know some people don't like the SureType technology, but I LOVE IT and it works great for me. I do constant emailing too.
I just love that the 7100 series is as good of a phone as it is an email device. Its great.

I just went from a 7290 to a 7105t. I was also skeptical about sure-type and some of the issues I read about the 7100 series. I can honestly say that I will be keeping the 7105. It took me all of 30 minutes to get used to the sure-type. My biggest deciding factor was the shape and size of the device. I hated using the 7290 as a phone. Felt like I was speaking on a pancake. The 7105 has a more traditional form factor and an outstanding screen. Phone reception is good to above average and so far I have not had any performance issues. It is very light weight and feels comfortable when you use it as a phone.
A couple of things to mention, the thumbwheel seems a little tight initially. I hope it will loosen up in a few days/weeks. The case it comes with has two issues; the belt clip does not swivel and the fit is really loose in the holster. It would be nice if there was a more secure holster or even a plastic one like the 7290.
Anyways, hope it helps ...
