by the way, someone in the SE section said the W600i uses the same themes as the K750i does.

ummm, there's no comparison between the two. the ROKR's speakers will smoke the W600's speakers hands down.

no way, no how. I had the RORK and it's speakers sounded very good even when they were turned all the way up. my W600's speakers sound like crap once you turn them up all the way.

plus, the ROKR's speakers had that vibrating thing going on as well which has been noted to make them sound even better. the W600 doesnt have that feature.

which is another thing i'm not liking. while the headphones get plenty of bass and sound good, they don't fit me very well. i'll be using my other sony earbuds that fit me so much better.

if it did, i didn't notice it. as soon as i disconnected it after getting some music on there. i put it in my pocket and left for my class.

another thing, not sure if its cingulars doing or not, but when i try and download the free things from www.sonyericsson.com/fun the phone won't let me... all i wanted was a theme and a high res picture or two

sorry to double post, but i just noticed that the camera, while not being the most clear, is pretty damn cool. its got both burst and panorama shots. the panorama takes 3 pics and at the end stitches them together

now i'm really really glad i got this phone.

you can use K750i themes from places like here and here. I just tried a few of those K750i themes and they worked like a charm on my phone.

I cant believe that. If you take apart a rocker you will see the large speakers. The thing actually produces bass. Yes I couldn't believe it either.

I understand what you're saying, but this thing (ce 500) is no punk and I would GLADLY put it up against the ROKR or w600 stereo speakers anyday. Also, this thing just gets better as I turn it up towards MAX VOLUME

Can someone with a W600 tell me if the clock gets reset if the battery is removed? My S710a is the first SE phone that has done that, and it really bugs.

Some notes and questions from a Nextel user who just got this phone:

Its a lot smaller than I thought it would be but feels solid

The styling is just gorgeous and the screen is very nice

The speaker is nice and loud but I dont think it has enough bass...any way to change that?

I love the left/right folder options for things like contacts, etc...very convenient and visually appealing. Espcially on the calls list...you can go to the right to see ALL, ANSWERED, DIALED and MISSEd...great feature

The battery life is AMAZING! I know most of you are used to it but Nextel would die by the end of the evening....this thing has been used non stop since I got it yesterday and the bar is still on full...WOW

The alarm clock is so simple to use and the music is very nice

Questions:

1. Is there any way for the phone to RING when you get a message? Even on vibrator mode, is there any way for it to keep notifying you until you check it? For me its real important that I dont miss a call. On the NExtel it keeps ringing and driving you nuts until you pick it up
2. Can you customize the programs like voice recorder to the shortcut?
3. The sound recorder doesnt seem to be too useful for note taking like the Nextel. Am I wrong? The sound pickup is weak and there seem to be too many steps to take to get to it
4. Is there any way to adjust how long the screen stays lit?
5. Is there a button to get to the home screen in one shot?

I am sure I will have more questions but I would appreciate any responses. thanks

1. You are looking for reminder or what it sometimes called "Nagging". This is unique to motorola phones. SE does not have this feature.

Normally on SE's you hold the back key (the one with the left arrow - not the direction pad) to get to the home screen.

Thanks. One more question: what a great feature that you can use your own music to ring for individual callers. But why doesnt it allow me to change the phone ringtones in general to my music?

I've called every Cingular store within 1 hour from here (Decatur, IL), NONE of them have the w600. The websight still does not list the phone. telesales still says "We don't know when that phone will be available"

So I don't see how it is "Released", Yeah it sounds like a few places have gotten them. But its definitly not on a full national roll out.

When I called telesales last night, I could have ordered it right then. Stupid me was driving. I really need to memorize my credit card number. I've decided to wait till tomorrow and see if I can get my hands on it locally. Best Buys in the area didn't have it yesterday, but expect it Friday. Same with a couple of corporate stores I called in the burbs south of Seattle. And isn't it available on the premier site now for business account customers?
Besides, isn't this more or less how releases go with Cingular? Initial trickle-out then full on rollout? This is far more encouraging to me than the Nokia 6682's release. Hopefully, I'll have one in my hot little hands tomorrow afternoon.

Long time lurker, first time poster. I work in a COR store and just purchased the w600 on Tuesday to replace my 551. I love the phone so far but have one small issue regarding bluetooth that I hope I can get help with.

I was able to sync my HS850 with the 600 and I've set up my voice tags on the phone to do voice activated dialing through bluetooth. However, when my bluetooth is open and I push the button and say the name, the dialing is done through the phone and not the bluetooth. I can hear the tone through my headset after hitting the button but the ringing comes through the phone instead of the headset.

I was wondering if a.) anyone else has had this problem and b.) I'm being stupid and overlooking something in the phone settings-wise to fix this. Any help would be appreciated!

After 30 hours or so, let me tell you that I am in love with this phone. the features are amazing and its getting "too much" attention. Everyone wants to play with it. I really dont see very many negative aspects so far other than the lack of an expansion slot or the ablility to give you a "nuisance" reminder when you have a voice mail.
Again, battery life is amazing. Still playing with it and the battery is on half only.

I've had my W600 now for over 24 hours and I must say that I'm liking it alot more now than I did two hours after I first got it. at first I was thinking to myself, "oh boy, its just a S710a with a smaller screen and an FM tuner......"

but since then I've realized two major differences that the W600 has over the S710a and that is:

1) the RF is much, much better than my S710a. I use to get "decent" signal inside my home with my S710a, but there would be times where I would get dropped calls more than I would like. I've used my W600 inside my home today and I have yet to drop one single call. thats nice, very nice.

2) as I mentioned in a previous post, the entire UI is 10X quicker than what my S710a which is a God's send in itself to anyone who owns or has owned a S710a that knows how laggy the S710a's UI can be and usually is. nope, not a problem at all on the W600.

-so this phone definitely looks like its going to be a keeper. especially for what little (and I do mean very little) I paid for it.

and now its time to get my butt into bed so I can take a three hour nap afterwhich I'll be heading out to Best Buy to snag me a $149 complete desktop system and a $379 laptop (both prices w/o any rebates).

basically I ordered two phones from Letstalk and they majorly screwed up the price on one of the phones. so I turned around and sold the second phone which more than paid for itself and I made a pretty nice profit as well. so that profit taken off my first phone = a W600 for next to nothing. next to nothing as in less than $50 for a brand new W600.

I just placed My order from Amazon.com! I ordered the Family Talk 1400 Plan with 2- w600's, After rebates, they will be FREE!

I can't wait to get them. Though it says estimated date for delivery is like December 14-27th, but that's because it says 1-2 Weeks before it is available, Hopefully they get them sooner than that, and I'll get it sooner than that!

Does the w600's come with a belt clip? I know the S710a's Didn't, but they did have them available. the w600 doesn't have any available accessories yet.

No it does not come with a belt clip. I plan on getting the ICE-25.

so I have been using this hone for 2 days, and today 2 people I talked to said te MIC was very loud and they could hear a lot of background noise from the phone. This happened with the flip ope and closed, anyone else experience this as well?

Yea, my girlfriend said the same thing when i was talking to her from my car. I was on the freeway and she said she could hear a ton of road noise....

So that means the Mic is really sensitive..

Which is both good and bad... Its great for the speaker phone, because that means you can actually put it in the seat next to you, and the person should be able to hear you... But its bad of course because it picks up background noise..

Right now with my Nextel phone, If I use the speaker phone I still have to hold the phone near my mouth, if I put the phone on the seat next to me, I have to yell or the other person can't hear me.

Just wait until one of the many unlock places in the marketplace start to offer unlocking service for this phone and just send it to them.

The Cingular Premier (Buisiness) website gives you a $105 instant rebate, in addition to another $25 for buying online. I ordered mine for $169 flat. The price goes up or down depending on your area code however. I have heard of one guy paying $125, and another paying $199...

of course you can because its an official Cingular rebate and not a specific retailor rebate like what Letstalk and/or Amazon sometimes uses.

however, you might wanna make sure that you do buy the phone from an authorzied seller just so Cingular cant use that as an excuse to deny the rebate.

SE has an agreement w/ Letstalk as a distrubution center for their phones.

Letstalk is a very reputable place to buy cell phones. I've done business with them lots of times and I have never had any problems with them.

I checked my mall today and saw they had the w600. The price was 399.99 without contract 349.99 with 1 year contract. 199.99 after 100.00 rebate for 2 year. So you intially have to spend 300!

I just ordered mine from Sony Ericsson direct. Got a little unexpected windfall check in the mail today thanks to our recent re-fi -- thought we'd gotten all the cash back. So, I decided, screw it, I'm going to get the unlocked unbranded version and save my upgrade for when Cingular has 3G phones available next year.
So, I won't get it till next week and I didn't get a smokin' deal, but, mine's unlocked and unbranded. After what I was told today by Cingular reps locally, as well as Best Buy staff, I figured I'm gonna have to wait until next week anyway. Worth it for me right now.

After playing around a little bit more, I still can't get sound through my HS850. The button on the headset can hang up a call and initiate voice dialing but all sound is routed to the phone instead of the headset. Getting frustrating..

On a side note, the stereo earbuds included with the phone work fine for voice activated dialing and usage.

Honestly, I won't be heartbroken if my HS-850 doesn't work with the SE. Or surprised. LOL I'll just get a different headset. That thing just keeps trying to fly off my ear. But, I'm the idiot who asked for it for my birthday. We'll see what happens.

I can't wait to get this thing ... time to scope out faceplates and some method to protect the screen. I'm thinking the plastic screen protectors that I got for my Tungsten C (recently deceased) should work well.

yes, mine does this as well... but since the usb connection disables the phone while plugged in anyways, i see it as no big deal.

My Samsung P207 was stolen this week and I was somewhat heartbroken. Only had it about 4-5 months. Went to the Cingular store and found out that I was somehow still eligible for an upgrade. Looked at the W600i and it had all the features I thought I wanted....I WAS RIGHT! What a great phone! Really customizeable! Easy to upload pics, MP3's, and synchronize with Outlook or Outlook Express. My P207 never rang very loud....the W600 blows me out of the room. Had to turn the ring volume down to 4. Very easy to use...nice looking, comes with extra face/back plate and headphones to use for listening to MP3 tunes, FM radio or with mic for phone. Also is a speakerphone, can voice dial and much, much more. $200 after rebate! What a deal!!

Also comes with the PCSuite software CD and USB interface cable. If your USB port is powered, it will charge the phone while you download pics and tunes or sync files.

The Home Depot discount is $299 - $90 (Corp. Discount) - $10 (Web Discount) = $199 No rebates.

Not that great of a price considering other deals available online.

Also via the Premier sight, I found out that the Corp. discount doesn't apply to the whole bill like all the cingular stores kept telling us, Instead the Corp. Discount only applies to the primary plan, So on the 1400 Family Plan, the $80 for the primary plan gets the discount, but the $9.99 for the additional line, the $9.99 x2 for the Media Package, and anything else additional does not apply for the Corp. Discount..

If that's not screwy I don't know what is.

P.S. For some reason Amazon.com is now displaying an unknown availability on the w600's, Instead of 1-2 Weeks, it now says to enter your E-Mail and they will email you when they are in stock.

I am debating weather to cancel my order from Amazon.com, and pay more to get them somewhere else, or to wait it out...

one more thing i wanted to note about this phone that i found out last night.

if you have an after market stereo with auxiliary input in your car, you can use any RCA to Stereo Y-adaptor like this one

plug the stereo adaptor into where the headphones plug into the wired mic. now you can listen to MP3's in your car... and you can take calls over your car speakers.

i called my friend last night to test out if he would be able to hear his own voice over the speakers at all. he couldn't hear anything but a little bit of road noise and my voice loud and clear.

no more need to buy an expensive car kit. enjoy this feature, i know it will come in handy for me.

I am very very close to returning this phone, every single person I have talked to in the last 2 days has said this to me. Anyone not experiencing this? I am thinking since I can't get a 6682 I may have to get a razr. Having everyone complain to me about background noise is not acceptable to me.

Anyone know of any fixes or things to try to fix this phone, because on my end the sound is great, and I really like this phone but this is a BIG problem!

Buy.com has the Sony Ericsson w600 for $179 BEFORE rebates, After $100 Cingular Rebate, and $80 Buy.com Rebate = FREE!

Basically same as Amazon.com, Only Buy.com has them INSTOCK, and $179 is less money to put out upfront than the $250 from Amazon.com, ALSO Buy.com has the ability to PORT your number!!

Only down side is that the Buy.com rebate requires you wait 6 months before mailing your rebate, which is insane, but seams to be pretty standard for 3-party rebates on Cingular cell phones, So I am assuming that has something to do with when/how the dealer gets their money.

I am canceling my Amazon.com order right now, and going to re-order threw Buy.com

maybe because his way would cost someone $5.99 (from Radio Shack) vs. your way would cost $19 plus shipping.

there wouldnt be anything wrong with using the Radio Shack cable other than having two use two cables vs. just one with the MMC-60.

I know some of these have been metioned, but just wanted to give a quick comparative review between the W600 and the S710a:

1.) UI is SO much faster. The way it should be
2.) Bug when both SIM Lock and Phone Lock are turned on is not present in W600
3.) When keylock has been engaged on the W600, love how when you open the swivel, it automatically turns off the lock. Pretty sure the S710a doesn't do that.
4.)LOVE SMS background send.

nope, no lens cover.

go here for some pretty cool themes and games too. the W600 can use the same themes and games that the K750i uses.

yes it does not have a mic it is a fast port... therefor you can still use your blue tooth or reg. handfree in the mic . where he was useing is y-adaptor ... and when you have a incoming call while driving you can anwser the phone with your handfree.

Argh! I just want it to get here already. Darnit. I can not wait to use it as the w600 sounds like it will truly be an upgrade over the RAZR in terms of features. The FM tuner alone gets me stoked because I like to listen the morning shows when I get to work.

I wonder how long it will be until we see aftermarket faceplates flood the market. SE, I lub ya for selling me an unlocked w600, but $24.50 is too much for a faceplate and a battery cover, dahlings. Especially since I paid full price for the phone.

So, w600 users, are you using cases or screen protectors? Or both? I saw a cool bodyglove case last night at Target that I think would work. Sigh. I'm going to be compulsively checking the order tracking page for the next few days.

check out this site. you can design your own custom front and rear faceplates to whatever you'd like. they're kind of pricey, but at least it would be something different.

by the way, I plan on using the EXiM brand screen protector once its available for this phone.

That's what I was referring to by being too expensive. Those are not aftermarket faceplates and are too pricey. I don't want to pay $24.50. 10 bucks at most. I might pay $20 for custom ones. I just need to be patient. Who knows how I'll feel when I actually get the phone.

dont get me wrong, I still like my S710a, but these four things are whats puting my W600 in front of my S710a:

1) much faster UI.

2) on-board 256MBs of memory (meaning I dont have to buy ANOTHER form of memory card for additional storage).

3) the FM tuner is great.

4) what appears to be better RF.

i have had no background noise issues with the w600... the mic is excellent..in my opinion because you can hear some background noise but deffinately nothing too noticable, that is of course when your actually having a conversation with someone... as for the voice recording it can get a little bit annoying...

I know I will love that. It is a cool little feature. But being in Metro Detroit, most of the time or all the time it is going to be E.

I had the same question as you and emailed sony. They replied that the $399 unlocked phone will not contain any Cingular branding in either the software or on the phone itself, i.e. no buttons with the cingular splat logo, etc. I'm sure it will be a Sony Ericsson box also...the box I have seen is the same but they have taken off the Cingular graphics, etc.

to the people who own this phone so far:

what kind of battery life are you getting from your phone? I'm actually impressed with how long mine lasts considering I have the Bluetooth turned on 24/7. I can easily go two days without having to recharge. my S710a cant go for more than one day if I use the Bluetooth connection all day.

Weird Thing is, on Amazon.com The unlocked/unbranded version is the only one that is available, the Cingular branded version wont be available untill the end of December, or beginning of January.

P.S. Is paying several hundred dollars more just to have the phone unlocked/unbranded really worth it? Why is it such a big deal to be able to use a different SIM? Who cares if a couple of small features are unavailable on the branded version (Even though it doesn't make since why they'd remove any features)? The phone should be phically the same, so one would *think* that you could just flash the phone with unbranded firmware!?

The biggest thing for me in having an unlocked phone is re-sale value. In six months when I buy a 3G phone, my unbranded, unlocked SE w600 will have a higher re-sale value. And SE makes it very easy to get the settings you need for its unlocked phones so you can use them on whatever network for data and the like. I believe Nokia is similarly user-friendly.
Besides, if I have to wait to get the phone, I'd rather pay a bit extra to just get it than to have to deal with Cingular. Plus, I have the cash, so why not save my upgrade until February or March, when a nice 3G phone is available? I dunno about anybody else's preferences, but those are mine.
And who knows what kind of bugs Cingular software could create?

I thought about waiting for the unbranded version, but played with one in the store, and couldn't wait! I love this thing! I am not really worried about getting in unlocked, that should be pretty painless (whether I do it through Cingular or third party). The only thing I may regret is not having the OTA firmware update feature. Oh, and the fact that who knows if there will even be self-updateable firmware updates for the Cingular version. If any of you want to get this phone unlocked from SE, I'd order it now if they're only getting 90 in for the first shipment to be distributed.

I'm happy to see that even when the screen's off it still displays a clock. That is one nice thing about my Moto V400 thatI thought the w600 wouldn't have b/c of the color screen. Now the only thing that worries me is the background noise problem... Oh, and how strong is the vibrate on the w600? I can barely feel when my V400 vibrates, it's pointless.

What's the cheapest way to get a W600, either by upgrading or adding a line? One Cingular store said $300 - $100 rebate; the other said $320 - $100 rebate. This appears to be the same deal you get on letstalk (if you are adding a line.)

Question for the owners. How is the reception my girlfriend and I upgraded a few weeks ago I got a nokia 6682. She got the sam p207 she liked the voice to text and its compact size (what can I say she wanted the cute little one) after playing with mine though she is a little upset that hers does not have any pc connectivity, mp3 player, and camera quality. we went back to trade in and get her a 6882 but as most of you prabably know they were pulled off the shelf.

The salesman is offerin her the w600 but she works in a mall and is clubbing in her free time.

so the reception is pretty important being she parks in a parking structure and works in a mall and clubs all areas none for being difficult for calls.

I haven't owned a sony yet but all the owners I know have complained about the weak receptions they get can anybody help out or share personal experience with this. I'm in southern cali and cingular is our carrier

The rf performance of the w600 is very close to on par with the 6682 (which for me is amazing). I bought a w600 and was impressed with the performance both rf and UI.

But the lock for the keypad broke and I returned it. They did not have any others in the store. So I am enjoying my 6682 until a local store gets some.

i was going to call and upgrade one of my lines on letstalk but they said i had to change my plan to a current one (149 after 100 rebate)... i have an older grandfathered plan w/ family talk, i'd lose 200 minutes a month to keep the same price level. but my sister wouldnt care bout losing her phone number (14 yrs old) so im cancelling her line and i ordered a new line w/ the w600 and swap cards... however for a new line, i had to pay 299 - 100 for it... makes no sense but no store around here has it and thats what i would pay direct from cingular even once its on the site (:cough: never :cough

So an interesting thing about the Bluetooth Powersave option. The phone describes it as a way to save power by only allowing the phone to connect with 1 BT device at a time. However, turning on Powersave does more than that. File transfers with Powersave OFF are roughly 44k/sec. With Powersave ON, they are roughly 25-30k/sec. Pretty significant difference.

Yes, you can upgrade threw Buy.com, I'm not 100% sure if you can do it on the webpage, or if you have to call their 1-800 # to do an upgrade, I know its an option on their 1-800 # because I called to order mine, as the family plans were not listed on the websight (weird).

Umm.. That's because it costs more to begin with... If you spend $399 now, and get $250-$299 in 6 months for an unlocked phone, or you spend $299 now, and get $150-199 in 6 months for the cingular branded phone, What difference are you making?

Becides you could get it unlocked for like $30, and save a ton of money to start with.

*Shrug* Just seams like a lot of money to waste...

So I've found my first W600i 'annoyance.' Some web site form fields will disable T9. That setting then gets set globally. Meaning, when I quit web surfing and go to send a text message, T9 has been turned off there as well. That's dumb.

Yes, But you have to call them. For some reason the Famil Talk plans arn't listed on the websight.

It took about 5 minutes on the phone, I got an E-Mail before I hung up with them, and my phones were shipped out within an hour.

Funny thing is... The Email Order Conf, came from wirefly.com... So I guess Buy.com & wirefly.com are one in the same company.... But Buy.com has way better pricing.

I'm looking at the $100 MIR form from Cingular and it doesnt say anything about Premier purchases not being valid so I wouldnt see why you couldnt use the rebate as long as the purchase is a phone upgrade/contract extension or adding another line.

ok, i am lost here. i am a cingular customer and have been for months. i wanted to buy the W600, but it's not in our cingular stores here yet. i called cingular and spent 45 mins. on the phone with a rep only for him to tell me that he couldn't get the phone ordered for me. why?

the rep said the phone was going to be $300, full retail. i want the phone at this price - so why can't cingular order it for me?

for those of you who have it, did you get it at full retail? with a plan? where did you get it and for how much? i am in a 2-year contract with cingular, FYI. i want this phone, but only want to pay $300 for it.

for those of you who have it, did you get it at full retail? with a plan? where did you get it and for how much? i am in a 2-year contract with cingular, FYI. i want this phone, but only want to pay $300 for it.

You won't be eligible for upgrade until like month 21 or 22 into your contract. So if you want this phone now, full retail.

For those who dont know, It seems that Cingular offers 'cash cards' in $50 denominations instead of real live checks for rebate payouts. A $100 rebate will get you 2 $50 cash cards. You cannot withdrawl the funds from an ATM.

WTF is this? The rebate process is bad enough. There is no need to lock the payout on a piece of plastic. IMO this is a bad move...

I didn't see anything in the T&C about rebates not being valid for premier purchases.

Those Visa cards are fine. just use them like regular credit cards just don't go over the limit. I have gotten several through different companies and no problems.

nope, no tiny hole near the charging port that I can see.

and yeah, like bodeh6 said, the VISA cards are fine by me. they spend just as good as cash does so its all good in my book.

Same with the T637. No hole down there but I believe that is where it is.

that could depend by your market location.

some markets the W600i is $399 and other markets its $419. (both prices are of course with no contract.)

you'd be better off buying the phone from Letstalk for $389 with free 2nd day shipping and no sales tax unless you live in Texas.

Letstalk.com has it $389.99 (I believe locked), Amazon.com $399.99 for unlocked version, Sony Ericsson.com has it for $399.99 unlocked, so Cingular should have it for $399.99 locked no contract.

shoot, i was under the impression i could get it for $300, per cingular's site. i am afraid $400 is out of my price range. for that price though, i could get the W800 on buy.com

right, you could do that. but then again, the W800 doesnt have the 850 band which is almost crucial for most of us who are on Cingular to begin with.

true. however, i looked up cingular's network in my area (wirelessadvisor.com) and it looks like they primarily use the 1900 band here (52722 zip code). i don't know. it's so frustrating. i guess i'll have to wait until the W600 drops in price, which hopefully it will do in a few months. i definitely don't want to pay $300 for the thing. erg.

I can almost promise you that you wouldnt be happy with your service if you had to solely depend on the 1900 band. it just doesnt cut it like the 850 band does especially when you're talking about building penetration.

good point. i don't go out of town too much and primarily use my phone in the same metro area...as well as my house. i guess i'll wait on the W600. anyone want to sell me theirs?

Here's an example. I got a Moto v551 when I signed up with Cingular in December 2004. After rebate, I paid $150. Just two months ago I sold the phone for $125. For eight months use, I paid $25. It was Cingular branded, but one of the last phones Cingular sold unlocked.

I do have a bit of a cell phone addiction, though, I grant you that. So, it's not the money spent that is the issue, but more the fact that I have an unhealthy obsession.

Of course, what sucks now is that I have to wait two weeks for the w600, but that's because I thought if I ordered it from them I'd get it sooner than I would from Cingular. Oh, well. Instead it'll be a week later. That's okay, I know I'm getting what I want and I believe I'll get what I paid for.

i am debating how long i can hold out on the W600. i really really really want it now, but don't want to pay $400. maybe i could sell my PDA or something.

does anyone know if the W600 has any outlook calendar synchronization?

Oh, I do think it will sync with Outlook on address book and calendar. I remember reading that on the SE product page. It comes with a USB data cable and a PC suite. Of course, you could do it via BT. The PIM functions on SEs are fairly robust, in my experience.

thanks for the advice. depending on how well it syncs with outlook, i could just sell my PDA to make up for some of the cost. the only thing i use my PDA for is my calendar, really. it doesn't get much use otherwise.

maybe this will be my x-mas present to myself.

Two Cingular stores within 1/4 from each other are selling the phone at both prices. One is ex-ATT and is selling the phone for $400, the other has always been Cingular and is selling the phone for $420. The phone's price is reduced by $20 if you activate MEdia Works.

Unfortunately, the store with the phone in stock is the one that's charging more.

Cingular.com lists both stores as Cingular Wireless stores.

I am literally incapable of hanging onto a phone more than a year. I don't know what I'd do without HoFo (or previously SprintUsers, which despite having been with Cingular for a year now, I still frequent).

When I signed up with Cingular my thought was I'd replace my phone every year. That sentiment lasted about two or three months.

I had two TP 1100s that lasted me a combined 18 months when I started with Sprint. I went to a Sanyo 4900 which was defective and replaced 10 months in with a RL2000, which I detested. So, I sold that and bought a VM4500 that I used for 10 months. Later I purchased a Samsung a620 as a backup and sold shortly before switching to Cingular. I traded my Sanyo VM4500 for a SE T616 shortly after I switched to Cingular. I ported my husband over from Verizon and got him a Moto v180. Then I bought the RAZR in June. I bought myself a Samsung c207 for $35 (which is about to turnover this week) as a backup phone. I took that with me to Disneyland. Next up is the w600. And I just bought my husband a Samsung x497. Yay GoPhones.
So, personally in the past two years I've owned eight phones and number 10 is on the way. And I'm on the relatively mild end of the spectrum for phone obsession. If you add the phones my husband has used, it's up to 13 (because trust me, I use his phones...)

But, yeah, crazy is one way to describe it. When I got the RAZR during the summer, my boss said, "Kris, some people have crack, but you have phones."
