I took a position with Cingular today at the local retail store and wanted to say hello to everyone. I have been on HoFo for many years under a different name, but I thought I'd start the new job with a new identity on the forums. I hope I have made the right decision, and hopefully I will not regret leaving. I'm wondering how many other people here came from Nextel, and if so, what are the pros/cons of working with Cingular.

Here are my rants:
I have been with Nextel (Retail Store) for over 2 years now, and I couldn't be less happy. I think the "merger" was the final straw. They made us bring in 2x more people, so now everyone is fighting for the 3 adds we get per day. They won't let you transfer to a busier store because all the stores are WAY overstaffed. We are stuck having to deal with Sprint's BS poilicies, and who knows what is around the corner. They hire managers from outside the company with NO experience and NO people skills. I haven't gotten a raise in 1.5 years. There is no pay on upgrades, nothing is ever in stock but the crappiest of phones. They force us to use on the worst phone ever made (i730) with no option to use anything else.

These are just a few of my issues, I will spare the forum from having to read the entire laundry list. Off to type letter of resignation now!

dual identities on HoFo is a bad thing unless you stop using the other one.

you could have just had a moderator changed your user name on the old account so you wouldnt lose your history but have a new name.
