Is the P207 a good phone?

I'm wanting to get a second phone, and I was thinking about a RAZR since I've wanted one since I saw bengalboy's review and then I remembered about teh P207. I looked on eBay and they're pretty cheap. I know Cingular didn't carry it for very long, so I'm just wondering if it is a good phone or not.

They were pulled due to the phone locking up. Not all of them exhibited this behavior, but I would be careful. The Razr would be a more stable phone.

Hey there 91RS,

This is gonna sound strange, but one of the big reasons I didn't get the p207 is the super glossy finish. Looks great, but smudges easily.

I've also heard posts around here of the phone running slightly warm over time.

I saw a p207 in a corporate store over the weekend, and I noticed the main LCD had a noticable yellow tint to it. Maybe it's just that one, I don't know.

Not a solid phone at all... Looks great and should have been a great phone but something kept locking those darn things up...

Alright, then I'll go for the RAZR, but I'm going to go against the fad and get a silver one.

IMO the silver one looks much cleaner anyway... the black ones seem to have 3 or 4 different shades of black and arent super attractive keeping the silver buttons when they could have went black on it as well.... Motorola sold like 6.5 million RAZR's last quarter....

the phone rings soft, poor rf performance, has no speaker phone, and no bluetooth. over priced, and overrated.

I think this review is pretty accurate. The phone isn't perfect, but I've had no issues with it. I think it depends on the price you pay for it, too.

I played with the phone for a day, and was not impressed at all. As with just about everything in life, looks aren't everything. In the case of the P207, looks was just about all this phone had. Shame.
