how exactly does this work, i kinda get the idea of it, but is there a way i can tell exactly how much proration a customer will get when changing rate plans in the middle of the month?

thanks.

take the full amount, divide by 30, times that by how many days the phone is in use to the bill cycle date.

or have it effective on their next bill cycle date. thats what i usually do to avoid the proration.. less confusing for the customer..

Well, I believe it all depends on how many minutes they've used so far on their current plan as well.

not for prorate on the new plan. I'd go with -X- on this one and just have it take effect their next billing cycle. it doesn't really give them more minutes to do it in the middle.
