OK, I've been looking at a few high end phones for a long time now [Yet somehow, I ended up with a Nokia 6101]. You all have been very helpful, and I appreciate it very much.
I'm 14 years old. No job.
I love cellphones way too much.
Here's the thing:
I have $600 to spend, and my birthday is coming up. [more $$$]
I don't want to deal with Japanese characters or anything.
I want a top of the line phone.
I'm 6'4 [yeah, tall for my age] so I don't mind a bulky phone, yet...I don't want to carry around something that sticks out or something. Also, no small keys. Big *** fingers.
[Okay, enough about me...]
I'm looking at two phones -
Samsung D600, Nokia N90.
First, a note-I don't care that the N90 lacks vibrate. My phone is either in silent or as loud of a ringer as humanly possible.
I want a good camera. It doesn't have to be amazing, just above average for everyday needs. It must have a GOOD flash. Another big point is video- I almost bought a SE K750 till I saw the video recording wasn't QVGA or CIF. Video has to be above average, as my friends and I do stupid things that we want to record.
I need the phone to be loud as anything. Loud speaker, loud speakerphone, loud ringer-I don't hear as well as some kids. Clarity is important. Moto RAZR was taken back for that exact same reason, it was loud, but garbled.
I need MP3 capabilities. Not alot, as I plan on a iPod for X-Mas maybe, but enough to listen to 30 or so songs with good volume [must play through loudspeaker and stereo headphones] and clarity. My old Moto E815 was good at this, my Nokia 3300 isn't.
It has to have good RF, but not amazing. I have a 6010 backup and a 6101 for that. I live in a pretty good covered area so no worries about that.
The battery has to last. Simple as that.
I think the Samsung D600 will suite my needs.
My plan is to buy that in a few weeks, then sell it and get a N90 1Q 2006.
What do you all think?
TIA.

Well, I personally wouldn't spend ALL your money on one phone. The $600 should cover the D600 but it won't cover the N90.
Do you really think that you'll use a smartphone to its full advantage or are you just looking for a loud phone with a nice camera and good video recording? If that's what you want, go for the D600 or look at a Sharp 903 or SX833. The thing about the sharp is that its not as loud as the D600, I hear the speakers on that phone are great.

I forgot about that!
No, I won't use the full smartphone capabilities.
I don't even have T-Zones haha.
Well, I think I am going to get the D600.
I heard weird things about the Sharp phones not being fully unlocked & stuff
I'd rather not mess with that stuff.
So, I believe D600 is the phone.
Unless of course, another one pops up
I'll let you know which one I chose in a few weeks
I just got a 6101 ; the D600 price is dropping steadily still too.

The N90 certainly scores with it's amazing video recording capabilities (by far the best I've ever seen), but it's battery life is dysmal.
The D600 would probably be a better all-round choice, unless you want to consider the Nokia N70.
