Really Dumb Noob Question About 6010

I'm almost embarassed for myself to be even be asking this but here goes:

I live with my s710a most of the time but every now and again use my unlocked 6010 which I got for free from T-Mobile with my Cingular SIM. It doesn't have any Cingular software and I can't get into the configuration menus for Internet and MMS but I'm ok with that since it's really only an emergency phone. Ok, now for the dumb question. If I were to get either a completely unbranded 6010 or bought a Cingular branded one, would I get an improvement in coverage? I really can't belive I am asking this.

I would assume the answer is no (except for floating between towers) but just want to ask anyway.

would you get better coverage over the S710a? sadly enough yes, you would. Sony Ericsson phones arent exactly well known for their impressive RF abilities.

the 6010 is one of the best when it comes to RF performance. but then again, the same could be said about most Nokia phones.

I probably didn't write clearly (it's not a first). I know it'll get better RF than the s710a. The question was about a Cingular or unbranded model vs. the T-mobile branded with the Cingular SIM.
