Got the Mr Cartoon Sidekick II no OS 2.3 What gives?

I got the Sidekick II Limited Edition Mister Cartoon, and the OS is the same, 2.0. What gives, I thought T-Mobile was saying it will have JAVA support? This is the same as the SK2 Regular. Not to happy.

I heard that it didn't come with the OTA. Basically you just paid $400, instead of paying the normal $250 for the regular SK2s. The extra money is for the design and licenses. I think you should put it on Ebay.

Yeah I thought that Id have 2.3 as well when I got mine.... but no, although my sales rep tends to believe Ill have it by tomorrow.. I did hear him tell the person activating my SK over the phone to give me updates (which probably wont do anything either)

To me the price is too high, since the phone originally has been out for a year now. Even with colors on them, it should be atleast $300 not $400. Even people who upgrade pay the same price, no discounts. Thats sad. I could see paying $399 for a Sidekick 3 if it was out, and had better features. Plus, the original Sk2 have not had a price drop since the LE SK2's came out, or atleast not yet.

The LE devices were advertised to have Javascript support because I think they had intended the 2.3 OS to roll out before the LE devices hit the market. The OTA is a bit late apparently but it's still coming. Your device *will* get upgraded and hopefully soon. I think they had just planned to have the OTA out before then.

I'm not saying it will work for everyone but you should give it a try (what do you have to loose) MAYBE it was luck for us or MAYBE I'M JUST CRAZY
