Coming to Cingular from Verizon...what phone to get?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Finally got out of Verizon...I currently have a VX6000.

What options do I have for around $200 (with 2yr contract)?

Thanks guys.

edit: Pretty much just use it for the basics: talking, texting, occasional picture, occasional games...etc.
As much as I hate to admit it, looks is one of the bigger factors on my decision.

I like the s710a, but I dont know if there's better/newer phones out now, as I'm not very up-to-date on all this stuff.

Your best bet for results would probably be to let us know what you want for features in the phone.

Motorola V3, SE 520a, Nokia 6102 or maybe the SE 710a. If looks are all important get the V3 but features any of the other phones would be better choices.

One question do you need bluetooth

Bluetooth would be nice, but not sure how much I would actually use it.

Also, what's the difference between the s710a, and the se710a?

I'm not too keen on the style of the V3, but it's not out of the question.

That's what I figured, but just making sure.

I think I'm pretty set on the s710a, but that's why I'm asking.

Oh, should probably mention, I dont have a land-line at school, so this will be my only phone for 90% of the time.

I didn't get great call quality with the s710, and it felt too much like a camera. But these are just my opinion.

And to the other person, if you want battery life, don't look at the RAZR. It's tiny battery doesn't last as long as the one on my Sprint phones (and I thought that those died fast!).

The Sony Ericsson w600 will replace the s710a. Rumored to be released November 1st. It's the phone I'm waiting for!

I ditched my Razr for the s710a and have been very happy. The one advantage the Razr has is better RF. The s710a is a much more feature rich and enjoyable phone to use (though I do miss the ability to mod my phone).

Get the Motorolla V551.
I own the Motorolla V551 and it's an Excellent phone. Cingular is currently giving rebates on the V551.
The V551 has many features (bluetooth, camera, video, voice dial-up, speakerphone, ect.).
And it gets excellent reception.

Get a Razr if you want a slick looking phone. If you basically going to use it for talking and texting, it's the way to go, plus chicks love the phone.
