My Razr has contracted the buzzing plague...How will Cingular fix this?

Search Nazis, have no fear. I've done my homework. I've searched around, and found a ton of threads related to the buzzing a lot of Razrs seem to be experiencing lately, but none of them really answered my specific questions.

So here's the deal. I have a Black V3 Razr. Flex: GSMV3xxCIN02NA0A5 SW: R374_G_0E.42.09R. Before, I would notice that slight buzzing noise in the back ground during calls. I blamed it on interference from my computer, and moved on. However, it's been getting worse and worse lately, and now it's to the point of being unbareable. I thought it would only happen when I had bad reception (which is pretty much my whole house, which ranges from 0-2 bars). Today though, in the heart of town, full bars, and I'm still getting it.

Technically, my warranty is voided, correct? Could I flex and flash back to an older one? Will they even bother to check my current flex and flash?

Will Cingular allow you to switch phones? I've had problems with this Razr before, and how it interacted with my network, and quite simply, I'm fed up with it. I'd love to trade it out for an S710a and pay the difference if they let me.

What would you do in my position?

You can flash/flex back to an older one as long as it is using the same version of the bootloader.

I think I'm using BL 8.26. Whatever the newest one is. What would be a good flash and flex to go back to, to make it look like I didn't tamper with it at all. Anyone have a good idea what flash and flex they were running for Razr's with a build date of July 22nd, 2005, and where I could find it? Most websites only have the newest ones floating around.

Also, does anyone think cingular would let me pay the difference and get an S710a instead?

Not the exact setup I had when I got the phone I don't think, but it's probably pretty close. Remove the VideoCamera things from the menu, and I doubt they'll know.

You could try it. I never had a problem with any of his flashes. This may even fix your problem. Many have complained of a slight buzzing actually coming frmo the screen of the Razr not the earpiece. Technically as you said before once you flash/flex, the warranty is shot.

The warranty is only shot if they realize I tampered with it.

I have the latest flash, and one of the newer flexes, so I don't think it'd solve the problem. Someone on here said they fixed theirs by opening the phone up, and placing a small piece of foam below the speaker, and above the LCD screen. Supposedly it's a loose ribbon.

If anyone knows what flex and flash came on Razr's from Cingular with a build date of July 22nd, that'd be great. Even better if you know where you can get them.

And if anyone knows anything about getting a different phone, that'd be much appreciated.
