So, I have the VX9800 which I am enjoying very much...recently purchased a minisd card and USB adapter, eager to start transferring MP3s and ringtones. I am a mac user. The card appears on my desktop, the folders are there, (my mp3s, etc..) but for some reason they are all READ ONLY! I cannot transfer anything into them. The message is, "the folder, (so-and-so) cannot be modified" What am I missing here, folks? advice?? I'm pretty frustrated here. Thanks

i cant help but i also plan on using the 9800 with a mac as well and i will be sure to look out for this. maybe your reader needs the drivers for it to run properly. i dont know but i wish you best of luck.

You need to format your SD card in the 9800 BEFORE you can transfer any files to it. Simply go SETTINGS & TOOLS, SYSTEM, MANAGE MEMORY, CARD MEMORY, OPTIONS (soft key on right) and FORMAT. The file structure will be created for your card and then you can transfer files to it.
Common mistake that many people make.

i've done this....same issue, the card is still read-only on the desktop. I wondering if this is a mac thing.

Make sure the mini SD or the reader it goes into is not locked. It should be on one side of the disk.
