Hello, i was wondering if ppl can post their D600 info. It seems like theres a lot of versions out there.

*#1234# = Firmware Version
*#1111# = software version
*#2222# = hardware version

These are my specs
*#1234# = Firmware Version = D600XAEIA
*#1111# = software version = TG001.06
*#2222# = hardware version = REV2.1

Trying to collect some data since a lot of people are reporting problems that I don't have.
In my opinion theres too many Firmware Versions to conclude that 1234 states firmware version. Unless Samsung had a lot of problems with this phone and made a crap load of firmware updates before its release.

Someone on this forum told me it was.. but if its true.. theres too many versions.... But the thing is.. some guy had the same s/w and h/w version as me.. but hes having troubles with his group thing...

O yeah forgot to ask if anyone has any problems with thier current unit.. If anyone has a problem with their unit please state so..

I've got the same one listed below for my D600. Only thing not working is the T-Mobile Settings I've tried. The Cingular settings works flawlessly though which is what I'm using it for.

Could you guys key in the following code on your phone:

and then press #5 Production and find out when your samsung was made so we could find out who has the latest firmware.

Just looked on the Orange website, they now have the D600 (calling it a D600e). I'm willing to bet they put their own firmware on the phone and probably sorted out some of the annoyances (they did their own version for the D500 that I actually prefered).

Does anyone have an Orange branded D600?

They call it a D600E because IT IS A D600E!

I believe it's the same D500 cable with the 9v batty plug. D600XEEI4 is the newest i guess. D608ZCEJ3 is D608 firmware with east asia language support.

What am I doing wrong?
I set the downloader to the correct COM port, connect the D600 to the PC (SIM out, power off). It tells me to power on the phone and all the buttons grey out. I turn on the phone and... wait. Nothing else happens.
Any ideas?

Mine was made: 05.10.15 01:27 with the following:

I noticed that with this firmware there are 2 problems:
1. When someone calls, the ringtone first is very soft and suddenly gets loud (as I configured it in the settings).
2. I cannot set a .mp4 file as a incoming ringtone anymore. This was possible with my D500 but not with the D600.

Does anyone know a solution to this?

You need the flash cable which is used with D500 too. It has a 9V battery connector.

Flightplan, which Samsung phones is that cable for? The only one I could find is the one from Cingular and T-Mobile (designed for E715, S107) and, even though the phone starts charging, nothing else happens. I made sure the switch was set to D/L but...

this is the main reason why no one should go buy the first version of any kind of product first you pay hella lots of money for it which also include hella lots of bugs so basically super pricy for muchy buggy by the time i buy mine they won't much bug at a reasonable price

I need help installing java apps on this phone. I have followed each step on the http://users.skynet.be/yozy/d500/d500-1.htm with the use of the java uploader. my phone keeps rebooting everytime i select serial download after selecting bluetooth or usb. please help?

So far I have found 3 issues:

1) When scrolling thru stock wallpaper choices, the phone will restart at wallpaper #7 or 8
2) After composing an MMS, the phone will restart when pressing the SEND button
3) Cannot get WAP to work on Cingular Blue

Have a message into howardforums.com now. Love the phone, but need to get these issues resolved....at least the first two issues.

Mine has 4 olympic wallpapers, and only 2 "normal" ones pre-loaded. It also has 3 songs and 1 video preloaded. Wierd.

I have finally ordered the cable at www.allgsm.co.uk on Nov.16th, 2005. I called on the 18th to check on the order status, the guy told me the order shipped. i have this too. except i have 2 olympic ones and 4 normal ones. the normal ones are the apple, water, feathers, and the road. the olympic ones are the soccer guy and the snowboarder.

Hi everybody! this is my first post here. i found this site while searchind the web for info on a problem i have with my new D600. I own the phone for 24h now and already there's a problem with it.
So here's the data:

I like this phone very much but the software is pretty buggy. The problem I have with it is that I can't connect it to my PC thru its modem anymore. The PC Studio 3 says "Phone error occurred". I use the provided USB cable and don't have a Transflash card. The problem occurred today when i tried to use MobileMaster software and it locked during a transfer so I had to kill the program and after that PC Studio gives this message when I try connecting the phone. The USB charging works and also the modem. I Reinstalled everithing related to the phone.

So what can I do to fix this? After a search on the net I found others having the same problem but no solution...

chrismobile, seems that we have the same frimware version. I am experiencing very low battery life when bluetooth is enabled(see my bluetooth on, low battery life Thread). Just wondering if you have the same problem and if it is firmware or hardware related. PM me or post in my Bluetooth on, low battery life thread.

Well.. You can start by not using that POS PC Studio software. Its Lame.
Lets try this... Tell me what you want to do with the phone (as in why are you using that software to begin with, what are you hoping to accomplish?)
and I will try to help you do it without using that software.
Honestly I dont use that software at all.. the D600 is pretty flexible on ways to do things.

well i use their soft to upload mp3's, download photos, manage phonebook and things like that. also because i don't know other s/w for it apart from mobilemaster wich i think had something to do with sc*ewing up my phone in the first place.

I know this phone is pretty much just out, I have a few questions though,

My D600 is bought in the uk and debranded and unlocked by default:

D600 XA EJ4
TG 001.06
H/W 2.1
Built: 24/11/2005

I have the OneNAND Downloader 1.7, is this compatible with D600 ?

I took out my sim card, plugged the usb charger cable in to the D600, the com port was set as 3, and nothing happens, I wanted to back up the firmware,

Could anyone provide any instructions on doing this, as I'm going to try to reverse engineer the firmware,

also are there any official links to firmware, or even information on how we can tell which country a samsung d600 was bought in at least ? I'm assuming XA is which country, and EJ4 may be the version, so FJ1 is newer than EJ4 which is newer than EF5, am I making sense ?? does anyone understand what I just said ?

The USB data cable that comes with the phone can not be used to flash the firmware, you need either a COM service cable, with 9V battery connectory or the USB service cable, i got this one:

bedrock: Thanks for the info bedrock, it's just with the Z500, I was able to flash it with z500 debranded firmware with the original usb cable that came with it, do you have any idea why a serial cable is required ??

What's the difference between a usb data cable, a usb service cable and a com serial cable with a 9v battery, what is the 9v battery for ??

I dont know why the original samsung USB data cable cant be used for flashing, but it cant!. The only difference i know aboubt the COM serial service cable and the USB service cable is speed, with the USB service cable i flash cla and tfs in 25 mins, i heard people saying it can take hours with the COM serial service cable.

Bought in Romania, first week of Jan '06.

Only issue I'm experiencing so far is crashing after loading web browser once, then disconnecting from WAP, then attempting to connect to WAP again afterwards. Phone locks up and crashes. Don't know what the problem is yet.

Could you elaborate? What http settings? I'd like to be able to fix it! It's the only remaining issue I have. It's odd though, the browser works (the first time I start it), I get the little G and I can surf. Once I exit, and it says disconnecting WAP, if I start the browser again later, I never get the G and the phone locks up and reboots. What can I do to fix it? What setting do I need to change?

I'm new in this Forum so I need a lot of help from experts. I have the D600 and I have a lot of issues. First, Screensaver doesn't perform full animation itself. Second, Video Music for example played for couple seconds and it froze, but I could hear the music still playing. Memory card kept on getting error message; when I tried to move musics into from the phone into the card. If anyone knows how to fix all the issues that I am having, please let me know. What about the Software update or the latest version of D600DXEJ5 firmware? Can you specify the location so I can download and can you instruct me how to put it into the D600?

This Dev. Version : D600JCEJ3 has a lot of problems. Like I mentioned before, it can't play Music Video without picture freezes. Holy cow, this phone sure has a lot of glitches.

chris, D600EMYEJ3 is for D600E not D600, you shouldn't use this flash on a D600, it wont work.

I purchased mine on ebay through Telekom City.
So far the only issues it has had is sometimes it reboots when trying to access a webpage & I can't get that annoying sound off whenever I end a call. Other than that it has been great.

A friend of mine ordered this phone from somewhere in USA. I guess that this phone is originally from HK or China because the languages are Eng, Chinese simplified and Chinese Traditional.

It works very good with T-Zone; never tried with other companies

When using a TransFlash for external memory, I recommend you to set your phone as a “Mass Storage”; from the phone menu, go to “Setting”, “Phone settings”, “USB Settings”, then choose “Mass Storage”.
After choosing the option, you can now use the TransFlash as a Flash Driver, which means you are no longer to separate the TransFlash and plug it into a card reader. Upload and download using Windows Explorer are easier. However when setting up like this, the phone can’t be charged by the USB cable. You can’t use the phone menu either unless unplug the cable.

I have a D600E. It has the Torino 2006 Olympics firmware currently, getting it flashed tonight to the latest OEM D600E.

The only problem I've encountered so far is that searching for Bluetooth devices never works. Hopefully that will be fixed when I get it flashed tonight.

I have a ton of phonebook and media player bugs, and they are so annoying. I sent them an email with all of them but i havent recieved a response. What should I do?
