I did something similar - I have a Bachelor of Social Science, with majors in Political Science and Sociology. I wanted a job that related to these areas somehow, but I couldn't find one. I still enjoyed every bit of my degree and learnt so much. Never regret any education you receive.

Yeap, I really love switch sims with my new phones from Europe , with CDMA I can't, even working there....
I repair CDMA Pocket PCs there too...
My main problem is that is very dificult to explain here in english when I can help one, maybe I know the problem, I can explain in spanish but not in english , I just start to learn english better

Hee hee, talking of non essential qualifications, I went to drama school and have a BA Hons in Acting. I would like to do a phd one day on pataphysics and its influence on the theatre of post second world-war France. When I have £10k spare, (cause that's going to happen!).


But I can't see that coming in handy down the job centre!

I am a customer services phone monkey at the moment. Not for much longer I hope.

Wow this thread has made me realize that there are some cool jobs out there and more people than I thought work more than one job!

Mine's boring...

Was a tech/business consultant at a Big-Five for the last four years

Now a Vice President in Infrastructure Technology at one of the world's largest investment banks.

It's not as cool as the other jobs on here but I get to play with all kinds of expensive equipment - Cisco Routers/switches, Sun/HP Servers, OC-3s, EMC SAN frames, Unix, etc...it's a techno-geek's wet-dream

I work for Fox Sports Net. I coordinate live games by keeping contact with the transmission trucks outside stadiums, and integrate these games with live news through a big master control facility in Houston. Its fun.

It's a decent combination of art/creativity & computers/technology. Although I know nothing about the latter. Or the former for that matter. I just wanted to make skateboard videos. There's always room for pharmacists, Mike. It's alot of work, but alot of fun as well. Then there's always the federal government red tape. The amount of paperwork is incredible.

I'm not in to the video games like some of the guys are. They'll stay up playing Halo against other stations til 0500. Then wonder why they're tired on a call at 0730. Not to mention that their day off will be spent sleeping.

I posted this back in december, so it needs an update. I have quit my Loss Prevention job; I have graduated from nursing school; I have taken my state board exam; and I currently work full time in the ER at one of the hospitals in the medical center here in houston. Whew, a lot has happened in the past couple of months.
