Im wanting to do the prepaid SK2 thing, since my credit isnt worth a ****. Im wondering, can i go ahead and buy a SK2 online, and get a prepaid SIM card? i know NOTHING about SK2s and prepaid crap. What do i have to do exactly? Please spell it out for my dumb ***.

buy the sk2 from here...or on ebay
buy prepaid sim from here...or on ebay
call t-mo wen u get both
ask them to change your prepaid plan to a prepaid sidekick data plan

so if i were to get a prepiad sidekick II.. you buy a prepaid card for either 25 or 50 ? and they only last based on the amount .... so $50 would only last 50 days ... i'm new on howardforums .. and i'm sorry if i didn't like search around for all my future posts i will though ... if someone could help me thanks

oh and in someones opinion .. i'm keeping my nextel so should i just get a prepaid sidekick II so i don't have to get another contract ?

Well I guess Decuss didn't explain it right. So I will explain it the EXACT same way. $1 gets you unlimited data for the day, that does include text messaging, and ANYTHING data related. When you initially start do NOT get a card for over $10 on eBay since it has to be under that amount to activate a sk plan (don't know why and its not important why). pink

Does it need to specifically be a prepaid SIM? There are plenty of T-Mo SIMS that aren't from prepaid kits.

You can have your own SideKick II and to go your local T-Moblie store to get a simcard and they'll activate it on the Sidekick II Pre-Paid plan for you with $15 already in it. So technically, you're paying $35.

$1 a day for a SK PrePaid plan covers EVERYTHING (Unlimited data, Picture texting, SMS texing, and IM). The only two things they DON'T cover under the Dollar-A-Day are Calls (Which is .15 a min) and Extras (i.e. ringtones, games, and a few apps.)

Depending on you and your cellular phone usage, pre-paid might be the best way to go. I text 20 times more in a day than the calls I get in a week. All my friends are texting wh0res and thats what we use to communicate with each other. So for me, it's alot cheaper because a regular plan with the unlimited data over it will run me a good $100(?) a month versus $100 in pre-paid will last me a good 2.5 months.

. This is alot to read but it took me a 2 days in calling and browsing on the internet to find out.

one last thing .... um on tmobile.com under prepaid .. it says that a $100 card gives you 365 days ? i thought a $100 card would only give u 100 days....http://www.t-mobile.com/prepaid/rates.asp.... under expiration date

It expires after 365 days if the buck$ aren't run down. Your math is good, though. A dollar a day burns $100 in 100 days.

Thats the experation date if you buy a $100 card that's doesn't include sidekick ii it takes a $1 a day

I heard that prepaid cards are hard to find and if you just want to buy the sim card alone they wont sell it to you..

Anybody know if this is true??

i promise you those prepaid sims fo t-mo might be the EASIEST sims to find BY THEMSELVES

go to ebay and see how many pages you get when you type in "T-mobile prepaid Sim"

you'll find a great deal there--

yes you can get prepaid sims from t-mo how do you think you get a prepaid t-mo phone in the first place
