Any Cingular Tech Center in Orange County?

I originally bought an ubranded and unlocked V635 not knowing what my future had in sight. Now, I can't receive or send text messages on my V635 (I used to be able to, stopped when i messed with some settings, after a reset still doesn't work). I really need text messages and this is killing me, I figured a flex or a flash upgrade would help me out. I will be with Cingular for awhile, so frankly, I don't mind going to a Cingular tech and having the phone locked to Cingular. Is there a tech center in Orange County that I could take it to, to get my phone in working condition?

#1- there is a phone subforum
#2- why would ANY cingular technical support help you when they dont even sell or support that phone?
#3- cingular does NOT flex/flash phones
#4- there is a motorola forum with TONS of information about flexing and flashing and tech support with unbranded phones

and going along with #2...

#5 why would Cingular even have a flash/flex for a phone they dont carry?

that would be like an apple store carrying the PC version of Windows XP.

Your SMS has nothing to do with the phone. The settings are stored in the SIM card so you should be able to receive SMS regardless of which phone you use. Maybe there's something wrong in your account or there is some network issue in your area.

Have you tried sending SMS from the Cingular website to your phone? Do you receive Voicemail notifications?

Yes, I've tried the website to no avail, and I do get voicemail notifications.

To everyone else: I am simply asking because thats what I was instructed to do by a guy I met who worked for Cingular. He told me there was a tech center that can upgrade the firmware on the phone (v600 firmware on a v635) and get it working. This idea was not concocted in my head, but rather suggested to me by a Cingular employee.
