Audiovox 8500 vs Audiovox 9500?

I'm trying to decide between these two phones (funny, since none of them are out right now, but they will be soon...)
Is the colour screen on the 9500 the only difference between these phones? If so, what's the price difference going to be?
The dilemna I have now is that it appears that all of the good promotions from Bell expire just before Christmas, and that the 9500 won't be out by then for sure, and the 8500 may also not make it.
I'm prepared to buy and sign a contract for the 9500 right now, but it's hard to do that for a phone that doesn't exist.
So, the question is, assuming that the 9500 comes out early next year, what are the odds of getting a deal similar to what is being handed out right now (additional free weekends, etc.)?
Do the salespeople at the individual stores have the ability to match that deal, in say, February, if needed? Or do the extra-special deals need to be authorized by the "head-office"?
I suspect (hope) that at least dirtyjeffer will have an answer for me.

Salespeople can only offer you something that Bell has provided to them. So whether or not you can get some bonus free weekends etc is entirely dependant upon if Bell is running those promos at the time you sign up.
Chances are the promos in February will not be as good as they are now because the Christmas holidays are always the best time of year to buy a phone.

wow...putting me on the spot...the pressure is on...
xirc is correct however, there is nothing special (outside of any instore bonus like accessories or waived activation fee for some promo) that the store itself can offer...almost all promotions are set up by BM directly...in other words, we can't tell BM to give you a special deal in february based on what is offered today.
and the deals around this time usually tend to be the best...there will always be promotions and bell is being quite reactive to the market in that matter, so you will always get a competitive price or deal with what is available at the time of purchase.

One question that I didn't get answered is "the difference between the 8500 and 9500". Is the color screen the only difference? Now that dirtyjeffer has his hands on an actual 8500, perhaps he could compare it to the 9500 feature list, which I just grabbed off the audiovox website.

For what it's worth:
The 9500 is made by Toshiba.
The 8500 is made by Hyundai.

The Key differences are that the 9500 is made with better plastics therefore better feel.
more memory.
J2ME or Brew
Wap2
40 tone poly instead of the 8500's 4 tone poly
TFT colour 9500 vs greyscale 8500
both use the 5100 series chipset
my opinion is that the 9500 had better UI
the 8500 plays as a mid tier product while the 9500 is a high end.
the 9500 would have competed with the soon to be launching a500.
