So, yes, I was the one debating between a Razr and a S710a awhile back. Had decided on the razr for some reason but decided to wait on it.

and now, I see the d307 is released. The local Cingular store just got one in and the rep let me take it out of the box and experiment with it. I love how the keyboard works.

So, now the decision is between the razr and the d307. The only thing I dislike about hte d307 is the black and white external screen, but i'm not sure if that's too big of a deal. The buttons work surprisingly well with my big fingers and the phone just has a "cool" factor.

another concern I have is with the hinge -- how durable is it? I realize it is a new phone and not much testing has been done...but are there similar phones to compare the design to? I haven't owned a non-candybar phone for awhile (T637 right now. Like it, but buttons are starting to stick).

Advice is appreciated
