Hey guys, I just got my lg vx8100, bought a 512 mb mini sd, and a card reader. I have already downloaded some mp3s to my phone, but I wanted to know if there is a way to turn those into ringtones without buying the usb data cable. I just feel like I've already spent too much money on these accessories, and don't want to shell out another $30-$40

Was wondering if you ever found the answer. Just got the vx8100 and want to know the same thing.

(Why does it say "my mom bought me this phone" under my user name? I never typed that and, sadly, that would be impossible.?)

It's called a user title. It will change with your post count or you can become a premium member and change it to whatever you want. http://www.howardforums.com/premium.php?
