iTunes 100 song limit upgrade ... get your money back "if it didn't work..."

I'm writing this to share this information with the community. You guys have helped me out in so many ways, I'd like to give back to those who've helped.

Please don't leak this information out too far, it will probably be caught and fixed.

This may not be needed anymore, since it looks like there's a ROKR monster pack coming around soon.

Anyway, for those of you still running i398/1ER firmware that has the 25song limit, this is for you. I don't condone hacking or cheating or anything, so if the upgrade does not work for you, you can get your money back automatically after 10 days.
Use this at your own risk!!
Required:
iTunes 4.9 on PC
1ER/i398 firmware on your e398
paypal account

Instructions:
1) Install and run iTunes 4.9 on your computer.
1a) IF YOU ALREADY HAVE iTunes ON YOUR COMPUTER:
I don't know the proper procedure to "reset" the transflash card, so I just deleted all the iTunes folders off the card. Next time you plug your phone into your computer, iTunes will recognize it as a new device and ask you to name it.

2) Run iTunes on your PC. Set your phone's USB connectivity to "Memory Card", and plug it into the computer. Give it a couple of minutes, and iTunes should find a new device and ask you to name it. Name the phone whatever size the transflash card is. you can use anything like 64mb or 128mb or 256mb or 512mb or whatever.

3) After you name the phone, it should automatically take you to the iTunes store and offer you a $30 upgrade to 100 songs. Follow all the directions. you must pay with a paypal account. if you don't have a paypal account get one. You will be charged the $30 for the upgrade.

-------------

4) Now, "IF THE UPGRADE DID NOT WORK", it's an easy process to get your money back. with paypal, you can file a dispute with the seller, saying the upgrade did not work for your phone. if the seller does not respont to the dispute within 10 days you automatically win. I filed a dispute, and never got a reply, and won by default after 10 days.

Your results may very, you may never get your money back. Most of you probably don't even use iTunes anymore due to all the limitations.

from my experience, along with others, the "paypal@itunes.com" email address that is the email account and paypal account for iTunes. apparently no one checks the mail, lol.. so it's an automated process. BUT, like i said earlier, YMMV. good luck

what about if i did it using a visa debit card? i know, stupid me! but i do have 100 songs in my i398 now. max of 48 songs in my 128mb tflash, i think i'll be buying 256mb. all my songs are encoded at 64kbps and equalizer's vollume is set to it's highest. so i'm confident 256 can give me 100 songs, just have to be wise with the space. hey, i'm OT!!
