i just wanted to say how happy i am to have power and now can read all the wonderful forums again!!! i lost power from hurricane wilma about 8:30 on monday and just got it back around 6:30 last night...you never know how much howardforums means until you can't read it anymore!!

haha, i went to work a couple of days this week for only a few hours each day...it was horrible, no power, no computers and no car chargers...its hard to tell everyone who walks in the door sorry we can't do anything, on the flip side i want to ask...why didn't you buy a car charger before the storm!!

anyways...this is an absolutely useless post with nothing really to say, just happy to have my power back and now i can read all about the wonderful stuff that annoys us daily!

umm, stupid question but why did they have you come to work at all seeing since you didnt have any electricity to conduct normal business?

why not just have a sign on the door that would point out the apparent: sorry, we are closed due to lack of electricity. we'll reopen as soon as electricity is restored.

well the store actually posted three signs on the door...the first one saying all sales were final...because we were unable to sell out the chargers right there, my management in all their wisdom decided there had to be a correlation between final sales and manual receipts which we started last wednesday and actually rang up at the point of sale today

the second sign said sorry we cannot accept payments...to which people were actually pissed off because we couldn't accept cash payments...hi earth to south florida, no electric=no payments

the third sign said we would be closing early due to curfew which is a no brainer...

as for why the had us come to work, i think it was the biggest waist of time although i must say cingular has decided to pay us for the week, i wonder if they will do some kind of quota relief, i can't imagine otherwise they did last year

and i suppose being at work around my co-workers was more exciting than sitting around the house with no air conditioning, cold showers to which you do the hokey-pokey dance trying not to stick any part of your body under cold water for more than 2.5 seconds...and the gas lines...well work or a 4 mile long gas line in palm beach county...i love mother nature

Hey mazzel, you work in Palm Beach county? I just moved up to Indiana from West Palm, I worked for an agent store there called Wireless USA on Palm Beach Gardens... lol... and now working for another agent called OnTheGo Communications here in Indiana.... I guess once an agent always an agent.
