Customer that come in now who have 11 months left on a 1 year contract or 21 months left on a 2 year are now eligable for discounts on 3 particular phones. The line migrating must be TDMA, must sign-up for a plan $39.99 or more and sign a 2yr agreement.

Customers can choose between:

Nokia 6010 - Free @ register
LG C2000 - $29.99 after rebate or add a Media Basic or Works plan and get the phone for $9.99 after rebate.
Motorola Silver Razr - $149.99 @ register or add a Media Basic or Works plan and get the phone for $129.99 @ register.

This still means that new customers aren't elible for any of these deals and that we still don't have a free phone to offer. At least give new customers something free, especially if your competition is right across the street with a big sign that says "FREE PHONES AVAILABLE". Sorry, this is not meant to be a rant. Anyways, theres some new news!

I thought that all tdma customers were eligible for new customer discounts no matter what their contract term was?

Then again your first line indicates that the customer must be a tdma customer for at least one month for the one year contract and three months on the two year contract.

I don't think any one has had the ability to renew contracts in the last three months anyway so it doesn't sound like much of a restriction..

You're right... TDMA have ALWAYS qualified migration regardless.

The contract rule applys to GSM accounts.

So really nothing has changed other than cingular now has a standard set of discounts in place?

Yeah my bad...TDMA customers and GSM customers who are 11 and 21 months into contract.

Ahh, so now both gsm and tdma have to wait just like everyone else.

why are they making TDMA customers wait all of a sudden?
