data cable question??

Will a data cable made for a Samsung V200 work with a Sanyo RL7300.When I plug it in it charges the phone or atleast it shows it is.But I don't know what to do for software drivers that would work with it or a software that would let me sync my PC with my Sanyo phone.Or is this just not gonna work.

Dont know,but it's safer to drop $10 on another one made for the phone.
