Problem with SMT5600

Lately when answering my phone there is a long pause before I can hear the caller. Sometimes I will have to say "Hello" 3 or 4 times before I can hear them.

Someone was playing with my phone...could they have changed something?

Any suggestions?

This just started happening recently.

Are you using a BT headset when you have this problem? I often experience a short pause before the person calling me can hear me but its only with a BT headset.

no, i'm not using any headset

should I try to reset the phone?

having the same issue, I was thinking it was the network since it's been crappy lately....

Not sure...I have the two-second delay when I'm using my BT headset. But if I'm just answering from the phone, the caller can hear me right away.

We have 3 SMT5600's on cingular, and lately we have all had times when either:

A.> Searching.... (until power cycle)
B.> You call someone, phone rings on other side, but your's never starts the clock, then hangs up.
C.> You call someone or someone calls you, either they can hear you and you cant hear them or vice-versa.

At first I thought that it was my phone, then I remembered that we were with Cingular.

It's not just my towers either, I think that the propagated some bad code into the network that the smt's just don't seem to like.

I've been having the same problem. Some days I can get some service other days im in the dark. My Razr(work phone) gets perfect service. Cingular wont do a warranty replacement for a different phone either. YAY SMT5600!
