I did not get mine from Vodafone and no I did not get any of that stuff. In fact, my box was just plain white with no markings

O okay, thanks a lot.... just making sure that unbranded GD87 does exist....

I just got mine.

Strange, it has Voda startup and logos, but it is not locked to Voda.
White box, phone, accu, charger, German docs, nothing more. (ok, it was cheap) The menus are in English.

Only the wallbreak game in German, and InFusio download menu (not working with my provider, I will try Voda with a friends card)

Are there good ExEn games???
InFusio is the only source of the ExEn games?

The salesman said so...

I am not sure what is the exact meaning of the above terms:

unbranded: the manufacturer made it without lock to a provider?

unlocked: illegal modification of a locked one, with the risk of closing it out or even a legal action?

Is it correct?

Is there a way to check if it is unbranded or unlocked?

unlocked- works with any carriers SIM card
unbranded-no operator logos or animations, customization or screens

Nothing to do with illegal

Is there any sites that sell unbranded GD87s? Or is it simply luck of the draw? Most of those sold on eBay don't mention whether it's unbranded or not.

Most of them on Ebay are branded to Vodafone.
They would probably memtion it if it's unbranded to boost the price.

Haha my GD88 is unbranded and unlocked with no stupid vodaphone logos and software...

I had to pay over HK$1500 (CAD$300) more to get an unbranded GD88 as opposed to a Vodaphone 87.

I simply can't stand those logos...

Where did you get the unbranded GD88?

They're quite easy to buy in HK because the official HK Panasonic dealer now has them...
really expensive...around CAD$1100

You can also find some imported from Taiwan for around $50 less..
AND they come with the CD, cable, and another battery...I regret not getting one of those...no warranty though.

A GD87 "infected" by Vodaphone runs about $750...

so...big price difference..
