Does anyone know if this is possible? I don't see why it shouldn't be...

Do any of these possibilities exist:

1. Unlock/flash/upgrade firmware via infrared
2. Unlock/flash/upgrade firmware via bluetooth
3. Unlock/flash/upgrade firmware via application downloaded onto SD memory card?

I hope one of these options exists... seems lame to already have infrared + bluetooth + removable SD memory card and having to buy a cable to do those processes.

4. None of the above.

You have to have the DSS-25 Sync Station.

Lame... the OS is so slow, especially when you use animated .gifs

I was counting on a firmware upgrade to fix this problem, I guess I'll have to buy a cable.

@ buying a bluetooth dongle then...

Actually, the BT dongle is good for transferring games, pictures, contacts, etc. The cable is only good for unlocking, firmware upgrades, and unbranding (or branding, if that's what you want.)
