You have to do it through WebJAL....also, it looks like ringers are supported in the old way(48Kbit Mono 44100Hz)...kind of sucks since i want better ringtone quality...oh well

EDIT: It doesnt sound all that bad, but it does take ringtones at 44100HZ, which i just saw they used it have to be at 8Hz

EDIT AGAIN: Forgot we can't put MP3's as ringers

what format do the ringtones have to be in for the i870. when i load them from webjal in mp3 format they go to media center. I can download the ringtones but they always go to media center. Can anyone help?

I've been making and loading ringers all evening. They still have to be 8000Hz for them to load to the ringtone list.

They have to be 8000hz. It sucks cause the 44000hz sounds sooooooo much better.

Ok if it has to be 8000hz then what is the format (example-wav, mp3,etc)? Im pretty sure it has to be mono too. Like i stated earlier, all my downloaded ringtones go to media center and not the ringtone list.

The same way i was making and downloading ringtones for my 860 wont work for my 870. I know im doing one of the steps wrong but i cant figure it out.

I'm using 32kbps bit rate, 8000mh, mono, mp3

They have to be 8bit 8,000hz wav files. Its really not that hard. I use sony soundforge 7.0. They soung good on my 870.

NP

After testing the .wav's sound better than the mp3's but take up double space. If only we could get the 44000mh mp3's to work

iam having the same problem, forsome reason all ringtones are going to my media center & i dont have the ability to set them as ringtones. Any tips. .thxx

same here, i put some of my old wav ringers on the card, and even transfered to the phone, they show up but wont let me assign them as ringers.

Has anyone gotten ringtones to work on i870 or i875?

It's The Same Cable

Are there any freeware programs for converting files to be used as ringtones?

Posted by: MATT85

1- Jutley: search for dbpoweramp on google. or better yet i'll do it for you http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm

2- atrain: kryptonite.wav is the filename. it is 14 characters long including the extension. the rest of it is the directory location and that doesn't matter how long that part is. so what you have is fine. just try it.

Is there any way to import or convert midi's? (no option w/ this program that I can see http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm)
Any suggestions?
