Some PEBL U6 Insights....

While it may seem unfit coming from someone who f'ed up his PEBL after flashing the wrong MP, before I did so, I played around with it for about a week and was able to do the following:

1) Create and add skins using P2K Commander 3.1.1
2) Access the C\ and A\ using the above
3) Increase volumes by editing the gain_table.bin as with the V3
4) Add funlights (you MUST first delete the tmptone and mytone from A\mobile\audio, then go back to C\ and add file to C\mobile\audio
5) Add MP3 ringtones and wallpapers (I used the standard 176x220 res for wallpapers and they looked just fine)
6) I was able to determine that a great deal of the seem edits are the Same as the V3
7) Learned the hard way that you MUST NOT delete ANY pre-installed skins
8) ...And a few more tweaks

The main feature that had me stumped was increasing the video record length - While I was able to find the on-screen menu options for MMS and MMS size limit, there was NO option to choose NONE - Only 30kb and 100kb - Interesting.

remember, the U6 and V6 are DIFFERENT MODELS! The U6 does NOT have EDGE - The V6 does. That's at least 1 difference I know of.

Once I get this back up and running, I'll continue to play around and record my findings for the community....

Both the U6 and V6 have the same exact chipset that is capable of EDGE. Is there any way at all to edit the software to enable EDGE?

There MAY...And I stress MAY be a way to do so - But all I know is that when I edited the SEEM 0032_0001 to include EDGE I could not verify the result.
