Well with just being hired i know that Cingular employees get a huge discount on the phone and a special plan. How does this apply towards a family plan or does cingular only offer a single plan. my fiance is up on her verizon phone and i told her to wait since i just got hired.

Ok here's the deal, Cingular corporate does not do Family plan discounts for employees. However if you are in a union area and are unionized you are eligilble for a CWA FAN. 40%/15% equip/monthly. You do however get 2 ERP lines, 1st: 1000anytime min/200txt/200mms/5mb wix; 2nd 500anytime min/200txt/200mms/5mb wix and you can add on features at there regular cost.

Hey everybody, I just (unofficially) got hired yesterday, and my recruiter sent me an email tonight to let me know she would be calling to make the official offer tomorrow. So I'm just curious...

Do new hires get a free phone and monthly service, and then after 90 days they get the 2 additional ERP lines? Or do new hires have to pay for their Cingular phone and monthly service, and the only things they eventually get for free are the 2 ERP lines?

I'm just wondering if I'm going to have to plunk down $200+ for a phone/service once I accept the offer tomorrow.

I got my COU line, Company Owned Use, on day one, totally unlimited and free. Then had to wait 90 for the two ERP lines, only pay taxes on those unless you add features.

I don't know how it is in your guy's market. But here in market 05 our COU is issued equiptment. Type COU in your browser at work...thats where you order the equiptment, but it does have to be approved by your store manager, arsm and Director of Sales.
