Stupid questions for the 9800 and Bitpim

Ok, these are really newbie questions, but I'm not a newb. I've been checking this forum out for like 2 months and I've learned a thing or two. However, I just got my 9800 and I'm getting studd for it and I need some answers.

Ok, for Bitpim, does it convert .mp3 to .3g2 when you transfer things onto the 9800? If not, is there a program that does that?

Also, I checked Daydeal.com and I checked very carefully and I found this case:http://www.daydeal.com/Sideways_Meg...e_3-p-7905.html

Do any of you guys/gals have this or think it's good or bad? I need some help.

Oh, and can anyone give me a site (eBay or otherwise) as to where I can get a data cable for my phone (I know it uses the 8100s/8000s/7000s....) for a cheap deal, probably under $20? Thanks in advance...

Thanks scotty, BTW, what program converts .mp3 to .3g2? Just an FYI, I already know how to do it with movies.

Where can I get a good quality horizontal pouch since that one is crap? (I saw one on eBay, a "lambskin leather" pouch that looks like it fits the Sidekick II and I'm not sure if it's legit.)

Also, itrimming data cables are good, right?

Y would u need to convert mp3 to 3g2? yur phone accepts MP3s for ringtones, just rename the mp3 file shorter then when it is on yur computer. ANd the one you saw on ebay, yea the pic is a SIDEKICK II and im not 100% sure the 9800 would fit, since the sidekck is FATTER then the 9800. I wouldnt buy any accessories for that phone until sum1 had actully made one that is made espacsally for it. since the phone is like 3 months old, id wait til maybe Jan. b4 sum1 makes a real case for it. ANd u can get any lg data cable cuz they bascally werk for all LG phone, 3200,4500,6000,6100, 7000, 8000, 8100, 9800. All use the same ****

I thought you can't use mp3 as ringtones with the 9800.

You thought wrong. There is also no need to change the extention from .mp3 to .mid such as on the Motorola V710 and probably some othr phones. I hope this helps.

But isn't the .3g2 extension smaller, as in they take up less space then a regular mp3?

How do you make an mp3 a ringtone on 9800?
