V3 RAZR Video Camera not on mine?

I have a black V3 RAZR, and it doesn't have the feature for the video camera. My friend just got the silver V3 RAZR and his has the video camera feature. I was wondering why mine doesn't and his does. I noticed that his S/W Version was different from mine. Mine is R347_G_0E.40.9CR . Why doesn't my RAZR have video camera?

for the first year or so of production razr's they didnt have video recording. the latest ones do. do a search fr how to enable video recording and start reading the stickies. its a very common post to ask hwo to enable video recording on the razr

thanks for the help man... do u think that if i called Cingular they would send me a newer one since the new production of them has it? I really hate spending that much money on a phone and then a few months later the newer production ones have it...

Samsung - I was reading your guide for the Motorola V3 and tried to download 'V3 Video.rar' but it doesn't work. Is there anywhere else I can get this, and does it matter that that I'm in the UK? lol

sorry samsung, but that method works to get me into video camera, but when i push record, the screen goes black and a message pops up that says... "Insufficient Space on Device" I tried changing the one in the message inbox setup, and that didn't work. The video length seem won't work for me either...what should i do?

insufficient space on device means you dont have enough memory on the phone to take video. try deleting some thngs off the phone

Or you can just flash the phone with one of the monsterpacks here: www.MotoX.us and forget the seem edits all together.

yea, but i still have over 1.5mb left on it... since when does a video use that much space?

no it's because u dont' have a flex that supports the video recording also. as DJ has suggested, flash ur phone with a monsterpack, eg. 9CR or C0R or 09R, where 09R's the newest one.

Actually 42.0CR is the newest and to the best of my knowledge this hack it not Flex dependant but flash/bootloader dependent. I have done the seem editing myself on V3's with 5 or 6 different flex's but who knows I may be wrong.

The Video.rar's I put together are geared more towards Cingular/T-Mobile USA branded phones, you can try them but make a backup of your original files, I created 2 files for respective carriers because I got feedback of undesired side effects when used with different carriers. I would just read here and do the editing yourself http://xlr8.us/hofo you can use the mma files from either pack though just the seems I would use your own. True but if you like the flex you have already, dont want to backup all your contacts, ringtones, wallpapers, games, pictures or you have done a ton of seem editing already then I wouldnt!

Make sure that you make the changes in the message inbox setup and then go to your video recorder setup and change length to MMS. You need to change both of this settings

More of a Flash dependent the bootloader has nothing to do with it. I'm still on the 07 bootloader and never needed to upgrade the bootloader.

Thats interesting because I was helping someone with an older bootloader enable the video recorder and we updated to 8.23 and it worked after that....

I'm not saying it wont work, just that you don't need to upgrade to do it. I have done atleast 16 v3's with the older 07 bootloader, enabled video, flashed,flexed,Monsterpacked and never once upgraded the bootloader and they all still show the 7 bootloader. On my #1 v3 I even unlocked the phone with the current flash/flex I am now running with the old bootloader:

Yeah,

The bootloader upgrading thing is total BS IMO. I never do it, never advise it, and never will. Even on the Triplets series I have never done it.
