Does 128mb Chip have to be Sony?

I was wondering if the 128mb Chip has to be a Official Sony brand. MSH-MS128a is the model I heard that is compatible with this phone. Is there a sandisk or lexington model I can use?

Which phone do you plan on using the stick with?

Sony Ericsson S710a

They dont have to be Sony but it has to be model (msh-ms128a) not the original msh-ms128 because i guess america phones dont support the normal ones. I made a mistake on buying the normal one. You should have no problems though if you buy the right model. Hope this helps.

Oh wait nevermind I think they do have to be sony since the model (msh-ms128a) is only offered by sony. So yeah the only way to can use a 128MB stick is by that Brand and Model.

Yup, you NEED the A model, if you have anything but, then it will not work. Trust me, I am going through the ordeal right now. I just bought an N model and the thing doesn't work for ****. I have sent an email off to Sony Ericsson customer service about this and waiting to hear back from them.
