i will being going to India soon and i know for a fact that it is much cheaper there so i was wondering if the treo 650 is the same exact phone over there as it is here and will i be able to put my cingular sim card in the 650 if i buy the unlocked version from India. i know that India works on gsm for the most part but i dont know if there is any other hidden technology that i might not know about that wont let it work in america.

They are the same. The only differance there might be that the phone could be branded by the local wireless company. Airtel,hutch,Orange,etc....
But you might want to make sure that the treo you buy from india will be unlocked. Otherwise you will have to look around in the USA to unlock it after you come here...
